Dagwood, part duex.

Jason snapped this gem yesterday of me going after the Dagwood...for a second time. I had impressed upon many co-workers the enormity of the sandwich before, but I'm pretty sure that no one expected what they saw last night. After last week's Thurman Burger attempt, (which Omar and Ryan handled problem free...I got sick of it), I wanted to see how they handled this monster as it is clearly larger than the Thurman burger, (twice as big...at least). Anyway, the above picture doesn't do it justice, check out the 365Maze blog link for more pictures. I found that eating it like a sandwich seemed to help me get trough it a bit easier...still can't do the fries though, (on take-out orders they give you potato chips). Bad news was Omar forgot about the Dagwood challenge and ate before they arrived...so Ryan and I we the only ones to go for it. He was faster, but we both were hurting afterward.

At least it's a good sandwich...

I've been busy...slackin' on the blog!

This was the house alittle less than a week ago right after the rest of the old siding was removed and the insulation was placed on the house. I came home late from work and snapped this picture in the morning when I noticed...
...wavy siding! I thought that was pretty cool, and very unexpected. After looking around I noticed a house down the street sporting the original wood siding, (why?), has a similar thing going on with their gable...but ours is way cooler. seriously.

Now we'll pause for a second with a word from my cat.
AAAACK! HAIRBALL!

Alright, moving on...
This is how we're looking so far today. Yea, it's looking pretty dang awesome. And to think the below picture is where we started. And apparently I rock...and roll...all day long when it comes to snapping pictures in practically the exact spot I did today as I did back in June when the below was taken. Right? Sweet Suzy? (Kung Pow reference).

Waterdog

When you don't have a showerhead that doubles as a removable sprayer, and you have a skinkball for a dog...you get this.
He asked for some candles and incense...you know, to set the mood.
I said, "no way, dog."

Words cannot express...

Stumbed upon this on the inter-nets. Yea... So what is her name...Darth boobs? Or perhaps Darth Rediculously Oversized Shoulderpads? Darth Orthopedic-Shoes maybe. Either way, this is about the dumbest picture I've seen all month.

I need some killin' tools.

This was the scene on one of those giant digital LED billboards near the station.
David Wayne and I thought it looked pretty interesting. It's not everyday you see a giant billboard with nothing but snow/static on it. So, getting back to the backyard...
Ahh yes. Here's the mess as it stands.
And here was a small tragedy I wasn't able to recognize in the dark. Thanks alot...tree. Jerk.

The only tool in my arsenal. I need some better killin' tools. Maybe a giant axe or some of the pruning sheers... Oh well, here goes nuthin...
And here was the scene when I got home today. Some minor progress in the siding department! My contractor seems to be finally realizing how long this job has taken and how seriously it needs done ASAP. I guess it wasn't obvious before as now it really seems to be hurting him. I'd feel worse about it if I didn't already know I've done everything in my power to help him when various snags have arisen. Hopefully we're done with everything in a week or so... Until then, my house wins the award for most varied forms of siding visible at one time...
What? No mitered(sp?) edge on the window framing?...

Ike...likes to blow stuff.

When you first walk down my street at night, things look kind-of okay. Once you get about half a block or so, you start seeing stuff like this:
And this:
ouch.
My house only seemed to experience some annoying stuff in the front yard. Mainly debris and whatnot everywhere since Robert has left alot of house construction trash everywhere, (one of my old windows which are propped against the porch fell over and shattered...nice). That is until you hit the backyard. The main victim is my fence gate. Mark and I were able to prop it back up as it was flat on the ground.
yea...it was a crap gate anyway...
The second victim was the tall skinny tree in the back. I bet he'll look great in the daylight. He got abused...
this limb is roughly 6 inches in diameter...

not bad for pictures in almost complete blackness.

I must be a cool cat...

The computer room/office. It's a work in progress...but I'm thinking I might be able to concentrate on...well...stuff more effectively now that I have a room dedicated solely to this stuff.
Apparently this room is cool. Why you ask, well as you can plainly see...it's where all the cool cats hang out. I mean, I suppose the jury is still out on whether THESE cats are actually cool...for those of you who don't know, Izzy, (the calico), is kind of a dork, but still...

Ooooh...
Aaaahhh...squirrel...yum...
Yea, no cool "Lolcatz" for you. Strike a stupid pose and we'll see...
